HAVE FUN!! This tournament is strictly for FUN and its foundation is respect & fairplay. Any player who does not comply with this simple code will be asked to leave.

  1. The games will be 2 periods of 15 minutes straight time.
  2. Guaranteed 3 games: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie.
  3. Maximum of 7 goal differential for each game played.
  4. In case of a tie in the standings, the winner will be decided according to the next criteria in decreasing order:
    • The winner between the two teams
    • Tie-breaking formula (Goals For divided by Goal For + Goals Against)
    • Goals against
    • Goals For
  5. In case of tie in a playoff game, the winner will be decided by:
    • 3 minute 2 players vs 2 players sudden-death overtime
    • If the tie persist, then a “Shoot Out” will decide the outcome (All 6 players will shoot) (1 to 6) – If the tie persist, keeping the shooters in the same order (1 to 6) -  teams will send their shooters 1 by 1 until a winner is declared.  All teams must have the same amount of shots.
  6. No checking is permitted
  7. General NHL hockey rules for any infractions (hooking, slashing, tripping, etc.).
  8. A penalty will see the opposing team be rewarded a penalty shot. Any player can take the penalty shot. The penalty shot will be taken during play (no stoppage of time). Penalized team must go to the side boards and other team must stay on the other side of centre ice until the shooter has returned to tag up.
  9. A 5 minutes penalty will be given for any unsportsmanlike play. The penalty will result in a penalty shot along with the penalize player in the penalty box for 5 minutes. The penalized team will not play shorthanded. The penalty time starts when the player enters the box. The player skates back to his bench without interfering into the play once the penalty is over.
  10. A player receiving 2 five minute penalties (at any time during the tournament) will instantly be ejected from the tournament.
  11. No slap shots. Stick not above ankle high.
  12. The official’s call is final and any questioning of the official’s call may result in an automatic player ejection.
  13. Any unnecessary rough play will not be tolerated and the player will be ejected from the game with a possibility to be ejected from the tournament.
  14. After a goal (referee whistles), the puck must go behind goal line and the opposing team must tag up at the red line
  15. After a goalie freezes the puck (referee whistles), the puck must go behind the goal line and the opposing team must tag up at the blue line
  16. If the puck goes outside of the playing area, the referee will give the puck to the offensive team behind the centre red line or to the defensive team behind the goal line with the offensive team tagging back to the centre red line.          
  17. Teams roster will consist of 3 skaters on ice, 3 on the bench, 1 goaltender (NO REPLACEMENT PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED).
  18. Players can't play for different teams.
  19. All players must be 19 yrs old or over.
  20. There are absolutely no appeals.  Decisions by the Discipline Committee are final.
  21. The tournament committee will not be responsible for any injuries that may occur.
  22. Only players playing the game and tournament personnel will be allowed around players’ bench
